Ships

Your ship is your only means of transport across the galaxy. Each player starts the game with a Pioneer class ship and, if your ship is destroyed in combat, you will be placed in Sol in a new Pioneer, even if you have other ships based. You can purchase a new ship from any based planet you own.

Ships are more or less the sum of their tech levels. The maximum and minimum tech levels for each ship type serve to determine its uses, advantages and disadvantages, and cost.

Ships can also carry devices bought at the Device Port.
